Press Release – Marnix Van Hoe becomes Director General

The Board of Directors of FEST have officially appointed Mr Marnix Van Hoe as FEST New Director General.

Brussels, 08 January 2026 – The European Federation of the Sanitary and Heating Wholesale Trade (FEST) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Marnix Van Hoe as its new Director General, effective as of 1 January 2026.

Marnix brings more than three decades of international leadership experience across industrial value chains, business consulting and European-level industry representation. He has held senior executive roles spanning strategic management, stakeholder engagement and international business development, and is known for building strong coalitions across national markets and diverse sectoral interests.

Marnix has extensive experience working with European and national stakeholders and guiding member-led organisations through regulatory and market change. He holds an MBA, a Master’s degree in Industrial Psychology and is fluent in Dutch, French, English and German.

I am honoured to be asked by Fest to become their Director General, bringing people together and building bridges in the European Value Chain has been my mission for many years, I am looking forward to this challenge !

FEST would also like to express its sincere gratitude to Karolina Hagberg Chinell, for her service and dedication as Interim Director General in the last six months.

Karolina has been particularly active in FEST’s work and priorities, including during its 2025 Warsaw Congress. FEST thanks her for supporting continuity and momentum across the federation’s activities during a period of transition. We warmly wish Karolina every success in her future endeavours.
